WHY FEED CLASSIC LARGE BREED PUPPY?
Responsible pet ownership means providing your large to giant-breed puppy with regular exercise, healthcare, loving attention and premium nutrition tailored to the needs of their rapidly growing bodies.
8 STEPS TO A MORE FULFILLING, HEALTHIER LIFE
Ensure they always have
fresh water available
Water is essential to many bodily functions, including the regulation of body temperature, the transport of nutrients, and an aid to digestion. Provide lots of water so your puppy stays hydrated, especially during hot weather or physical activity.
Ensure they receive
enough energy
Puppies need energy to walk, run and play. Energy also enables them to maintain body temperature, support the immune system, and repair and regenerate tissue. Classic Large to Giant Breed Puppy provides puppies with 370 kcal per 100 g, 26.5% protein, 11% fat, amino acids and essential fatty acids so they can live life to the fullest.
Keep their skin and coat
nourished and shiny
Maintaining the health and lustre of your puppy’s skin and coat is more important than just good looks. Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids play a crucial role in maintaining the skin’s barrier function, which can help reduce itching and scratching. While vitamins A and E stimulate healthy hair follicles and skin cell immunity.
Manage their growth rate
Large to giant-breed puppies grow at a much faster rate than smaller breeds, making them susceptible to joint issues, such as hip dysplasia or early-onset arthritis in their later years. The right amount of dietary calcium helps to ensure steady and healthy growth.
Provide support for their
growing joints and bones
Natural and added glucosamine and chondroitin support the healthy function of your puppy’s joints and stimulate the development of new cartilage. This enables increased mobility, leading to a better quality of life and healthy growth.
Keep their digestion
regular and healthy
Wheat bran feeds the healthy bacteria in your puppy’s developing digestive system with natural prebiotics. It also helps regulate bowel movements, prevents constipation and reduces the risk of gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhoea and bloating.
Give their immune system
plenty of support
Natural antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, neutralise harmful free radicals to maintain overall cellular health while boosting the immune system. Individually, vitamin C supports the production of collagen, essential for joint health, skin and connective tissue, while vitamin E contributes to eye health.
Provide them with a comfortable
place to sleep and rest
The average puppy collectively spends around 75% of their day asleep. A comfortable, clean bed can reduce the risk of skin conditions or infections, support developing bones and joints (essential for larger breeds) as well as provide a sense of safety and security – especially when introducing them to a new environment.
