Win Big with Montego

The following terms and conditions (Terms) apply to all customers who opt to enter the Make Life Grand With R100 000 Competition (Competition) conducted by Montego Pet Nutrition (Pty) Ltd (Montego). Customers who disagree with the Terms should refrain from entering the Competition. Participation in the Competition is deemed as an acceptance of the Terms and an acknowledgement of legal capacity to enter. Entries not complying with the Terms are invalid and will be discarded. 

1. The Competition is open to customers who purchase Montego products from any Montego brand during the Competition period: 2 September to 30 November 2024.
2. Entrants are eligible to win R100 000 in cash (Prize).
3. Customers may enter as many times as they wish. Each Montego product purchased during the Competition period validates an entry into the Competition.
4. Entrants must retain all proofs of purchase; the winner will be required to present proof for all entries made to claim the Prize. For example, if a customer enters five times, Montego records all five entries according to the entrant’s phone number. If Montego draws that number, the winner must supply receipts for all five Montego products purchased during the Competition period in order to claim the Prize. If the winner cannot prove all their entries, the entry will be disqualified, and a substitute winner will be drawn.
5. Only one winner will be drawn. The draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Customers have two methods to enter the Competition:
   • By dialling the USSD code *120*84437# from any cellular phone or device and following the prompts (USSD cost per session is 20 cents per 20 seconds), or,
   • by visiting the online entry form at https://clny.co/montego or scanning the Competition QR code (standard data rates apply when entering online).
7. When entering by the USSD code, customers must enter from a mobile number that is RICA compliant. No person can use another person’s mobile number for the purpose of entering the Competition. Entrants who use a phone other than their own for entry, may have their entry disqualified at the discretion of Montego.
8. Some cellular contracts only provide data, SMS or voice minutes. These contracts do not always allow for USSD sessions to engage. It is the responsibility of the entrant to load airtime on their cellular phone or device to engage the USSD session, or alternatively enter via the online entry form.
9. Entrants are responsible for following the prompts and entering their details correctly in the dial-in USSD session or on the online entry form.
10. The Competition ends at 23:59 on 30 November 2024. Any late entries are invalid. The winner will be selected by random draw, contacted, and announced within a reasonable period after the Competition closes.
11. Montego will attempt to contact the winner for no more than three (3) consecutive working days once drawn. Should the winner not be reached, the original winning draw will be discarded, the Prize forfeited, and a new winner drawn. This process will repeat until a valid winner is reached.
12. The Competition is only valid in South Africa. Entrants must be in South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and awarding of the Prize. Failing that, the entry will be disqualified, and a replacement will be drawn under the same Terms as the first draw.
13. Montego will notify the winner via the contact details provided through the USSD prompts or online entry form and announce them on Montego’s social media pages, the Montego M Magazine and/or digital newsletters thereafter.
14. Montego may request that photos be taken of the Competition winner for the official announcement.
15. The winner of the Competition requires an active bank account to receive the Prize. The Prize cannot be provided in cash or any other form than electronic funds transfer (EFT).
16. The winner will be required to provide all necessary information and documentation required for the EFT of the Prize. The arrangements will be made at Montego’s discretion, directly with the winner of the Competition.
17. Entry to the Competition is subject to stock availability. Montego does not accept responsibility for the possible shortage of stock during the Competition. Stock is delivered to retailers that order Montego products during the Competition period according to their specific order and quantity preferences.
18. The Competition is only open to South African citizens who possess a valid South African identity document or passport, or visitors with valid proof of South African residency, and who are 18 years old or older.
19. Montego, through subcontractors or sub-processors, may access specific information (Personal Information, as defined by the Protection of Personal Information Act) that identifies individual entrants. Montego, its subcontractors, and sub-processors shall comply with all laws and regulations applicable to Personal Information and other related information. By entering the Competition, customers consent to the processing of their personal information applicable to the Competition entry process.
20. Personal Information will be retained as long as reasonably and legally required to perform the obligations under the Terms of this Competition.
21. The Competition excludes employees, directors, owners, agents, distributors, consultants, suppliers, their immediate family members, or anyone directly connected to or in the employment of participating retailers, Montego, its subsidiaries, business partners, associates, and advertising agencies.
22. By entering the Competition, all entrants and winners agree to be bound by these Terms, which will be interpreted by Montego, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding, and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding the decision. Montego reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend, or cancel the Competition, Terms, and Prize, or any aspect thereof, without notice, for any reason that Montego deems necessary.
